Many a Aussie river I panned,

And dug deep into the Ballarat mine,

To get that shiny yellow band,

Which for evermore will make you mine!!!

 

This is special as I shot with my first ever DLSR while I was traveling in Australia and visited the Ballarat Gold Mine, Victoria in 2007. Ballarat was considered the world's richest alluvial goldfield during its peak between 1852 and 1853.
